President's Message:
As President of the NAACP DuPage County Branch, I am deeply honored to reflect on the rich and prestigious history of our organization. For decades, our branch has stood at the forefront of advocacy, education, and community empowerment — a testament to the dedication of those who came before us and the ongoing commitment of those who serve today.

Our success has always been rooted in the tireless work of our Executive Committee and the many working committees that drive our mission forward. From civic engagement and education to criminal justice and health, each committee has been instrumental in advancing our shared goals of equality and justice for all.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our past presidents, whose leadership laid the foundation for our continued progress, and to our members — past, present, and future — who give their time, talent, and passion to make a lasting difference. I am especially proud of the extraordinary efforts of our ACT-SO youth program. They are a remarkable young embodiment of the future of our movement, demonstrating excellence, creativity, and determination in every endeavor they pursue.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the many partners, organizations, and community leaders who stand with us in solidarity. Together, we have built bridges, created opportunities, and strengthened the bonds that unite DuPage, and our surrounding counties.

As we face challenging times in our nation, we remain steadfast in our purpose. Once more, we will rise to the occasion — to make change, to lift our voices, and to continue the pursuit of equality and justice.

I invite each of you to bring a friend and join us at one of our upcoming events or committee meetings. Together, we can continue to build on our proud legacy and ensure a brighter, fairer future for generations to come.

Michael Childress
President - DuPage County NAACP
